1. How these terms fit with Apple's

Latch is licensed to you through the App Store under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA). These terms add to the Standard EULA. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA applies. How we handle information is described in the Privacy Policy.

2. What Latch does, and its limits

Latch helps you limit your own phone use. It uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks to block the apps, categories and websites you choose during the windows you set. It is a self-control tool. It is not a parental control, a medical device or a treatment for any condition.

Latch can only do what iOS allows. In particular:

• You, or anyone with access to your iPhone's Settings, can turn off Latch's Screen Time access at any time. That lifts every block. Latch notices, but can't prevent it.
• Websites are blocked in Safari only. Other browsers aren't covered.
• Latch blocks only what you put in a window. If you add an app such as Messages, it will be blocked like any other.
• Blocking depends on iOS and may change or stop working as a result of iOS updates, device settings or Apple's decisions.

3. Don't rely on Latch in an emergency

Don't put apps you may need for your safety, health, work or to reach people in an emergency into a window you can't end. A Bolted window can only be ended early with an emergency unlock. iOS always lets you make emergency calls, whatever Latch is blocking.

4. Latch Pro subscriptions

Latch Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription, offered weekly or yearly. The price, length and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends if you started one.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Deleting Latch doesn't cancel it.
• If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends when the purchase is made.
• Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. The free plan

Latch can be used for free with limits, such as running one window at a time. We may change which features are free, and what they include, over time.

6. Your content

Your reason, photo, windows and history are yours and stay on your iPhone. We don't have a copy, so we can't restore them if they're erased, if you delete Latch or if you lose your device. Keeping a backup of your iPhone is up to you.

7. Using Latch fairly

You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute Latch, and not to get around its subscription, except where the law allows it. You're responsible for how you set up and use Latch on your device.

8. Changes

We may update Latch, add or remove features, or stop offering it. We may also update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Latch after that, the updated terms apply.

9. Disclaimer

Latch is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that Latch will block every app or website you choose, work without interruption or errors, or help you reach a particular goal.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of Latch, or from being unable to use an app while it was blocked. Our total liability for any claim relating to Latch is limited to the amount you paid for Latch in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the laws of where you live.
